Longarm Quilting Services

The services we provide include three types:

1 - digital edge-to-edge designs, which means that the quilting will be uniform across the quilt top and not area-specific;

2 - digital edge-to-border designs, which means that the center of the quilt is one design with another design for the borders;

3 - digital custom designs, which means that a variety of digital patterns are used across the quilt. Often this includes specific designs in specific blocks.

My goal as a quilter is to make the quilting look custom by the way we carefully select the quilting design to match your quilt top. My personal aesthetic leans toward modern-looking, often geometric, and abstract quilting designs. I also favor medium density quilting with the goal of giving your top a lovely texture that compliments your patchwork. If you'd like more or less density in your quilted design, just ask!

What kind of pantograph or digital design would you like?

Take a look at the available pantographs I have under "Available Designs".

Not sure where to start?

I would love to help! When you book your quilt with me, you have the option to have me pick the design entirely and/or make the thread choice.

Go forth and search!

For additional options, search any of these websites below. If you find a pantograph that I don't own, I'm happy to split the cost with you to buy it for your project. Search the terms pantograph or edge-to-edge (E2E) to find the right type of designs.

PREP:

What size should my backing be?

Here's an easy way to remember: Four-for-four! :) I require the backing to be 4" extra ON ALL SIDES. For example, if you have a quilt top that is 60" x 80", your backing should measure at least 68" x 88". It can be bigger, not smaller. Extra fees may apply if I need to put extra time and effort into getting your quilt ready to load. If you have questions, please ask.

I'm passionate about being able to give you results you will love. Teamwork! :)

TIDY IT UP!

Please press your top and backing for me so that it's nice and tidy and ready for me to load. Please also clip stray threads or raveling fabrics as best as you can. You might not be able to get them all, but to prevent dark threads from shadowing through your quilt top, please don't skip this important step!

QUILTING CHOICE:

I want this to be fun for you and not overwhelming! You have the option of having me make the quilting decisions for you. It all depends on your purpose for the quilt, sometimes "done" is best!
